Head of Sales and Marketing for innovative low carbon start-up (Midlothian based)

In the Head of Sales and Marketing role you'll report to the CEO and will be primarily responsible for implementing their vision to help tackle the climate emergency through promoting sustainable insulation products.
Specifically you'll be tasked with delivering marketing strategies & activities and managing your team efficiently.
This position is based in Sisaltech's Roslin office, so please ensure that's within a reasonable commutable distance for you before you apply.
To be the right person for Head of Sales and Marketing role you will need direct experience of sales & marketing.
We also need you to have prior experience of managing a small team and IT systems & Microsoft products.
It's important that you have strong communication skills.

The basic salary for the Head of Sales and Marketing role is between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.
You can earn an extra bonus should the company hit its targets. Full details about the scheme will be revealed on application.

You could be right for this Head of Sales and Marketing position if you've previously worked as any of the following: Sales and Marketing Manager, Sales and Marketing Director, Sales and Marketing Executive, Sales and Marketing CO Ordinator, Brand Marketing Executive, Chief Marketing Officer or as a Brand Marketing Manager.
The company is at the very early stage of their sales and marketing journey so you will have a blank canvas to develop a successful sales and marketing operation from scratch. Currently the company has one sales person and is about to take on a Marketing Assistant. You will need to be able to form and grow a successful team with them, as well as working well with the CEO and other team members.
- Must be honest and trustworthy
- Must be an excellent marketer with demonstrable history of success
- Must be motivated and enthusiastic
- Must be able to lead and work as part of a team
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with construction and building materials
- Knowledge of and interest in climate change and sustainability
- Good IT skills
- The confidence to propose new and improved processes and effect positive change
Salary is in the range of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on your level of experience. Plus small company bonus when sales targets are exceeded.
